MAKE. WORK. BETTER.

WorkLab is a design thinking accelerator to make. work. better.

What do YOU want to redesign about your workplace? WorkLab is an opportunity to apply design thinking and lean startup methodology to some of your most challenging workplace problems. The accelerator model brings in tools, coaching by students and alum from Stanford d.school, and a framework that turns ideas into action.

Worklab Approach

Launch

Turn a challenge in *how* we work into a business advantage.

Bring a three-person team together to frame and define the work challenge into a design question. We will go through series of sprints to generate new ideas that are quickly tested with users to ensure a successful launch.

Create

Spark innovation in work.

Using design thinking, we begin with human-centered research from your company, using ideation tools that consistently generate big ideas, and prototyping process to hone in on a solution that works for your goal. We will leverage design thinking tools used by organizations like IDEO, MIT Media Lab, and Stanford d.school, that consistently provide unique ideas with real impact.

Scale

Go from idea to initiative.

You put a stake in the ground with your work innovation. We will now focus on making that innovation come to life within the broader company

Validate

How you ensure your idea is the right idea.

In order to be smart while scaling, we will go through a set of small experiments that grow over time, where we will validate your innovation in work to ensure you “build the right IT before you figure out how to build it right” -Alberto Savoia. Blending design thinking into a lean launch, we will use Preto-typing to collect real data, and a scientific approach that cuts waste from the process of launching a new idea so that what you scale is viable and sustainable.

Story

How your work innovation lives and grows.

As your team moves to a scalable idea, your sprints evolve with a focus on how you bring people in and how you build support and adoption for your innovation in work. Story has the power to entice, enroll and excite people if you apply the right strategy. Storytelling is not just a magical art, there is an art and science to creating great stories.

Amplify

The recipe to spread your story to the world.

Once your story is crafted, we will tap into the power of storytelling, amplifying user stories to effectively communicate and grow the innovation. Leveraging social science, you can amplify the story in a way that others want to share it within an organization or the world.
